To reach it is no easy task…

Avion! And I think this is my best version I've done of her.
I worked on this all day and it was an incredibly long process mainly because I took lots of breaks too and then I'd stress out over finding the right colour blar blar etc...

Anyway, I actually painted this in photoshop using the Wet Media Brushes preset option in the paint brush menu thing, you know where you press the little triangle and it gives you the long lists, I was after something close to a sponge texture and out of all the brushes I looked at, the 'wet media brushes' were the closest I was after without trying to create it myself.

Sketched it out first using a screen shot of the game as ref, then just painted in the basic colours first with the default brush while messing around with the brightness settings etc. added diffuse glow to this group of base colours and another effect that I cant remember. (might have been film grain?)
Did the exact same thing with the wet media brushes, mainly using the 'large texture stroke' brush. The next steps were basicly repeating this a lot and changing the opacity settings, oh and i added noise to it as well...and for the life me my brain has shut down so I'm going to stop boring you to death now.
