Description As the 2018-2019 school year looms, I like to remind myself that I keep drawing throughout the school year, even though it seems creative efforts come to a grinding halt in the face of lesson plans and ten hours a day in a school building.  :/  I didn't include upwards of 20-30 thumbnails, these are just the miscellany. 

An art director once told me to never buy expensive sketchbooks: fear of messing up the sketchbook keeps you from doing something stupid.

Those are awesome!

 I think you got a very good grasp on anatomy and proportions that makes it great to look at, even if it's just scribbles! 

And I know that feeling you're talking about very well... But I sometimes even draw during class and personally it helps getting me through the day :3 

So please keep up drawing even though you're exhausted because of school. I wouldn't want to miss your beautiful art!

Thank you.    I'll admit, as the art teacher I do get to flex my muscles and stay in practice, at least...it's just not the same as sitting down at my desk and cranking out a real illustration.  Ah well.  I find my productivity does actually go up during the school year though--maybe the lack of time promotes a sense of urgency.  Thanks again for your sweet comment.

thanks--that's a sketch I keep going back to, played around rendering it in marker--might end up going back again eventually.
