Rainbow Country - not surprised with all the rain we have.....ha

i couldn't believe that i saw three rainbows in one week last week, now there's a promise..
and looking back at my other rainbow shots i done in the past.....they were in the same place
over the same fields, and i had to find out how that happens.....and i found out....why this is certainly Rainbow Country -

That the sun is always behind you when you face a rainbow, and the center of the arc of that rainbow is in the direction opposite to that of the sun.
Yet the rain, of course, is in the direction of the rainbow, higher the sun smaller the arc...So rainbows tend to be seen most in the later afternoon when a thundershower has passed and the sun from the west is shining on the receding edge of a raincloud moving east, the only time it is possible to see the entire circle of the rainbow is from an airplane since there can be falling droplets both above and below you. Each time you see a rainbow, it is unique from all the others. In fact, each eye sees its own rainbow!

this shot was as taken on the 8th from my back garden
if the tree wasn't in the way it could of been a full bow.....
other rainbow shots, landing in the same place, the fields behind the roof tops.....it's telling me i must spend more time there in the rain....lol
