Description For this week's Core Prompt:  Thursday Prompt: Yuletide CheerHappy Thursday, Core Members, and we're back with the first Thursday Prompt of December!
In last week's challenge, "Endless Vision", you were asked to share art related to your favorite television show! It warms my heart to see such diverse viewing habits among our contestants, and it looks like I'll need to start watching some of those shows as well.
With that in mind, here are your winners! Here are your winning visual deviations:

And here are your winning written deviations:

I have never felt the urge to make art work of Santa Claus before. Not that I don't enjoy him as a part of the monthly festivities but I've always preferred to focus on other aspects of Christmas. This challenge made me curious. "You can interpret Santa Claus in whatever way you like. Basically, you don't have to confine yourself to the typical image of Santa, with the red suit, belly and bushy beard."

This drawing is the end result of me trying to create an image of a man whose purpose is to bring joy to children all around the world. People of all nations and in all kinds of circumstances. I knew I wanted a medieval/fantasy man. I wanted him to be more solemn and weathered as he surveys the glowing sphere that spins stars and dreams out for him to map and survey. The antlers are my nod to the reindeer* (I realized my drawing isn't necessarily recognizable as any version of Santa Claus and I did want him to identify more with modern ideas of Christmas).

His travels take him past celestial bodies and through the musical spheres of time. Christmas comes to all - but not all come to Christmas at the same time. Hopefully this comes across as a legend that the contemporary version of Santa Claus might have come from.

*Also The Dragon Prince currently holds me captive and I want to put horns and antlers on everything

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
