Ever since I saw this pose on the wallpaper of my vet’s office, I’ve been itching to draw it for something. Upon the arrival of our new Obertaurer, I finally got a chance.

Seeing how Ashlynn was busy with Tru and the HEWA trials, Harley and Viola had to fly to RPS to pick up their newest arrival, a Pure Obertaurer stallion. Unable to leave his son behind, Harley begged Danity to let him take Dimitri along for the ride. They were told the stallion was huge and beautiful, but still a wild mustang, they expected something wild and unruly.

When they arrived, the bay roan was already haltered and waiting for them in one of the paddocks, all they needed was to sign the paperwork. With strict orders to watch Dimitri, Viola stayed at the fenceline to marvel at the horses……well more like marvel at all the men at RPS—unaware of Dimitri slipping through the fence and running over to the huge obertaurer.

When Harley returned, he was stunned to see his tiny four-year-old leading a wild mustang by the halter. Had he not been so terrified for his child’s well being, it would have been something beautiful to watch.

“Daddy I was a big boy and bring obertayrur to you!!” Dimitri grinned up at his father. Ths stallion snorted
“Well at least he’s a people horse!” Viola laughed nervously
“You are so dead when we get home.” Harley whispered to her under his breath.

He’s extremely calm for his age, and we’re excited to move him up in his discipline when he’s older—that is, if Dimitri will let us He’s a little shy around other horses, so we’re having trouble pairing him up with someone to be pasture buddies with. We’ll also have to body clip him when he arrives in Tennessee, it’s too warm for that thick coat.
