Today is a good day to start scratching the surface of a vast talented, exceptionally dedicated artist as yourself.
First i need to mention that i am familiar with your ref.Weird thing that i met Viktoria's artwork before yours,so i am related to the explosive feelings her photos can create.. it's like a little voice inside your head commanding; *you have to draw this..you HAVE to draw this..*
Ofc, no matter what little voices screaming inside our heads,it will always come down to who we are and how we interact with our urges..
You have kept the originality of your ref with great respect.And that is one admirable action by itself.
Colors melt to create the illusion of a different medium than the one you used.The warm tones are indeed far from your ref,but i prefer yours better admittedly.

Absolutely fantastic work. Some of the best of seen on DA, with lots of them in my favorite box... and thank you for sharing the works in progress on some of your other pieces.
I use mostly water colour but want to try harder with coloured pencils. In the past though I have struggled to find the right kind of paper. I noticed that quite a few artists use Bristol Board smooth. Have you found this type to be any good? Thanks ... any advice appreciated!

Thank you, On the drawing cry I used bristol , but most of them are on medium weight cartridge paper

For me it is most challenging to capture the features of a child.....you have got it down perfectly however. Very nice work and talent. Most impressed.
