I'm not sure how gyarados is a flying type.And if he truly is a flying type why can't he learn fly? Pokemon! You baffle me with your logic, but I love you so much!
Anyway, I always had a gyarados on my old team, probably one of the most powerful pokemon in the old game.

Gyarados is flying because, um... I dunno. Maybe they didn't wanna offend fish for making them feel like they're incapable of flight.

Maybe he'd be way too powerful if he was a dragon, since the only thing that could destroy a dragon was another dragon in the first game. But still. Seems kinda silly.
Thanks! I had a lot of fun making this one. I kinda want to do a newer version though, my style as changed a bit since I made this, and I'm sure I can make him even more tough looking.

Oh man, it makes life so much easier! I really enjoy digital art because I think it's just shiny-looking. I kept seeing a bunch of digitally amazing art and just started working in photoshop to try and get better at it. Now I'm pretty good but i still have a long way to go.

I prefer traditional art, since it's like, the root of everything. :3 And because I don't need a computer to get it done.

Hahaha. I can agree with that. I like doing traditional all, I mean that's where I started. You can't have digital without traditional. Though I find it to be fun to work with the computer because I can do things I can't do with traditional art. And I can do it a lot easier. That might just be me though.

My friend and I believe he's flying since he resembles one of those dragon kites, but that's just us

I had a similar idea, but I figure it might be because he is similar to those Chinese dragons that looked like snakes but could still fly/float thought the air.
