So yesterday was my Birthday. It also, was the release date for the latest Sonic game, Sonic Boom Fire & Ice.

I’ll give you guys two guesses what the first thing on my Birthday Wishlist was. LOL

So after tearing open the present, I spent a good deal of sunlight yesterday stuffing my face with cake and exploring the world of Fire and Ice. New games are always exciting and it’s been a little while since we’ve gotten our hands on game content from this franchise, so just seeing the blue blur and crew in action was enough to put a smile on my face.

I’ll have more to say on Fire and Ice later. In the meantime, I’ll be busy working my way toward 100% completion and finding all the little nooks and crannies to explore.

That being said, the game reminded me of a little sketch I did waaaaaaay back when the fire and ice mechanics were first revealed. I drew a little comic just for the giggles, but it never actually saw the light of day. It just kind of got buried in my practice folder.
So in honor of the release of Fire and Ice, I went back and unearthed this little gem. I’m sure I am not the only person who gets this vibe from this games gimmick, but hey, I still get a kick out of it. Plus it was a good excuse to draw Sonic, Blaze and Silver. Enjoy.

FunFact: those costumes are heavily inspired by the one worn by Hatsune Miku – with a slight Boom twist of course. ^^
