Megan: "She tried making space, but I wasn't having it. I homed in on her like a heat-seeking device, punch after punch, each one finding its mark. She groaned in pain as my fist hit her abs, then her ribs, then her face, then back to her ribs again. I smelled blood in the water. She knew she was in trouble. I knew I had the advantage. I knew I had to keep going to not only defeat Lanka, but to make a statement to the rest of my would-be opponents. She walked like she was a beginner on ice skates as she held on to whatever shred of consciousness she still had. It was an opportunity to show some of my arsenal, so it was time to mix things up a bit."
Megan: "Before I became a world-class kickboxer, I was a pro wrestler, and a damn good one at that. My style transitioned into shoot wrestling, with a heavy focus on head-trauma, moves which I still effectively use to this day. A part of my wrestling training involved many slams and throws, borrowed from various disciplines such as Judoka. Thuraya taught me how to perform a few, and today, Lanka got to experience my Harai-goshi firsthand. She yelped as I swept her off her feet and threw her to the floor with a resounding thud and grunt to follow. This clearly stunned her, and I had no intention of letting her get up from this predicament until the match was over."
