the WIP part of the title does suggests its a Work In Progress
And seeing there is no backstory or even a hint of a date given one can not judge the possible- or impossibleness of this map I think. Also... questioning stuff should never be shunned. 

Every Colored Region is indeed a different country and the dark purple (which to my eyes is just dark blue btw ) is idd vestigial France and the salmony area (again no Orange present is my eyes ) is idd British Calais

must apologize if you thought i was saying your historical deviation for this timeline was impossible - that really wasn't my intent. Looking back at what i wrote, did you interpret my comment : "a little too IP" as meaning impossible? Sorry, that was me trying to be funny/clever... I meant, that your work in progress was maybe a little too 'in progress' - ie. not finished enough.*

*and i say that because i want to see more! Seriously, loving the level of detail you've put in to some of the countries so far... most people it seems wouldn't bother to put in half as many cities and towns. I am definitely looking forward to updates to this one!

and colours are obviously a subjective thing aren't they?

Oh God my bad, I though you meant Impossible with 'IP' not in In Progress and yes it is idd a bit IP as of yet but it was only uploaded here because otherwise I couldn't post it on Alternatehistory.com because with all the details the maps itself was to large And it will be updated, but not for a little while because my Computer crashed and I lost some progress and I rather have to focus on Exams and a Master Thesis  

Anyway I love how you Love my kind of detail. I don' know why but I feel like every city and/or town deserves to be on the map so there they are And hahaha, colors are idd a subjective thing... As the french say 'les gouts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas'

and just also need to add... even if this was impossible it wouldn't bother me... there's a great map on here by PolandStronk that has Chilie stretching the entire coastline of both North and South America... that is just awesomely ridiculous!
