Description I confess, I'm a little ashamed a how this picture ended up. It looked good on paper, but it lost too much of it's quality while I worked on it. Maybe I will redo this, one day.

I posted several pictures of the central charater of my comic, Yuki, that alluded to her true nature, without actually saying anything about her, or even mentioning that she's the character depicted.

[link] - first instance of her being depicted with fox ears and tail, from the old thick lines era.
[link] - a badly done piece of garbage from my sketchy, badly shaded, misused brushes era. First depiction of Yuki with her natural red hair, though she isn't mentioned by name (no, that really is her, this is not a last minute retcon)
[link] - this is much closer to her final design, though the outfit is far less revealing, and the sash is tied at the back. The big reveal mentioned in the description is the fact that she is in fact Yuki.
[link] - the cover of the current chapter that has been going on for years, with very sporadic updates.

One thing I have always known since the day I started the comic, is that I want to avoid the "good girl stereotype" traditionally associated with eastern schoolgirls, and made her the archetypical bad girl instead. The revealing outfit and the sash with it's knot worn in front, was meant to invoke a woman of pleasure, referencing her past involvement in night-time entertainment industry, while her unkempt, ferral appearance is meant to bring in evidence her more animalistic side, which comes with her being a fox-spirit.

I think the overall effect of this is really really good... chaotic and good

I'm asking you this: do you make an structrure before drawing, you know, like a mennequin?

I do, mostly just for full body pictures. But this particular piece was a little bit different. Much of the base (except the arms) structure was traced from a previous picture of her. The original idea was that one could overlap the pre- and post-transformation states. It obviously didn't work, and I don't even know why I thought it would be a good idea.

Also, much of the structure may have ended up lost during the coloring attempt.
