Description
Dark and light born together
Neither weaker, neither greater
The two are a fiery beauty
And both have one duty
When the battle shall dawn
One must win, the other must fall
Along with his enchanting call
The winner will go forth
And carry his brother to his nest
From there brings the graceful flames
Uniting them before the soothing rain
Then both form the egg for their final resting place
After their battle for death’s embrace

ok, most people know the myth of the phoenix, different combinations, but all with the basic background.
Only one phoenix will exist at any time and none any shorter than 500 years (longer depending on which myth you look up). When its time for the phoenix to die it builds a nest and then setts fire to itself. From the ashes spring a new bird and carries the egg to some.. other place yarder yarder.

However, with me being me I decided to manipulate those rules, bend them for my own purpose. This is my own story thing:

After a long life an old phoenix burst into the fatal flames to give rise to another. However, something went wrong and during the making of the new phoenix, the ashes split and gave rise to two. One brother had the classical golden, red plumage, the other a dark violet, both just as beautiful and equally good at heart. After laying their father to rest they separated to live two separate lives. However, The two cannot be allowed to burst into its own fatal flames seperatly as both have the potential to bring forth two new birds each, and disrupt the balance further. Each time this happens, the ashes used for one bird bith is less and will eventually tern them sour and give rise to a population that will consume the Earth. So when the time of death draws near the two brothers will meet again only to battle to the death. The one that loses will not burst into flame. But when the other finally does, both are engulfed in the same flames making them one again and hopfully restoring everything back to normal.
