Before you get too excited, this piece is my "homage" to Scott Gustafson. The drawing and concept of this picture belongs to Scott Gustafson!
Disclaimer out of the way...this is my Rendition of his oil painting "Jester and King".

The assignment started in editorial when we had to copy an illustrator we liked. I did a pen and ink drawing on watercolor paper, but never actually got around to painting it.
Then in my digital trio class, I scanned it in and decided this would be my "experimental" piece to color in photoshop.
I have never used photoshop to color anything before, so I can happily say this is my first ever almost completely digital picture.

I think photoshop needs to have a timer that goes whenever you work on a piece, because many many hours went into this picture.
For me, this picture is done enough. There is probably more I could do, but maybe next semester in my other photoshop class....so expect to see more digital art from me.
