It takes a while to make one. There is no estimated date. It all depends on how much effort and skill you put in it.

My goal was to make the jaw moving by making a large slit in the base, but I think a) I put the fur on too tightly for it to move freely and b) my chin isn't defined enough for it to work anyway. I can get it to open slightly but I have to wear it in an uncomfortable way. Also thank you!! <3Β

thank you! probably not, though. my parents want me to have a job this summer and im compromising by promising to take commissions. if i spend time making a fursuit head for someone else, i'd want it to be in return for funds.Β

how much would your commsion prices be?
π: 0 β©: 1
burgerphile In reply to lauralea3 [2014-01-14 23:28:47 +0000 UTC]
They would start below average, around 100$ for a head because i'm inexperienced, but each successful head (by which i mean the customer agrees that it's high quality) i made would be more expensive than the last.

can you keep a slot open for me for a head?im very interested and im not paid yet ^^

I will probably take them in order of who contacts me first when I have more secure prices and am sure I can get my hands on the supplies I need. you will most likely still have priority though.Β

Such a cutie! ovo just wondering, as a fellow suit-maker, did you sew the seams, or just glue it all?Β
π: 0 β©: 1
burgerphile In reply to hyenaroyalty [2014-01-12 03:14:30 +0000 UTC]
thank you!! i used glue for everything so far, but mostly because i've never owned a sewing machine before now and don't know how to use one yetΒ

hyenaroyalty In reply to burgerphile [2014-01-12 03:28:53 +0000 UTC]
It looks really good then! I would never be able to get my seams that smooth with just glue, hah.Β
I actually never use a sewing machine on my heads, I hand sew everything, I feel as though I'd go mad if I tried using a sewing machine for markings on a face >w<
