Sarah once again, this time at a grocery store. Sack N Save, you exude cool. They unfortunately don't allow photography. A bit of advice if you want to take photos in a grocery store: Go ahead and start taking them, without asking permission. Most don't allow photography, so if you ask permission, you'll go home empty handed. However, if you go ahead and shoot blitzkrieg style, you'll at least go home with something. I got this one before a manager could ask us to leave.

this is great! love the colors! i think it makes it more fun when you know you aren't suppose to be taking photographs in a certain place. when you get away with it, it's so liberating

Thank you! The lemons were great, since there were so many of them. It was either that, or a tub of onions. Somehow, that loses some of the magic.
Just be careful if you go take pictures in a store; some managers have short tempers.

Thanks! The dress was what actually sparked the whole idea for this series. Just her and the lemons? Yeah, that might have been more effective that way. Wish I'd had more time in the store before Richard the Assistant Manager booted us out.

I went to kroger (our grocery store) to take pictures of the meat, and the butcher let me behind the counter...
I love the colors, and her expression...

Haha, I don't get why you wouldn't be allowed to take photos. Unless you owned your own store and were planning on copying their....fruit displays

I don't fully understand the rule either. Probably what happened is some goober brought in a camera crew or something and staged a huge shoot, and it was a big distraction and affected business. Or maybe they're afraid we're journalists digging up dirt on their store.
