Recently the fantastic White0wlsuperheroine posted a fun peril artwork featuring her title character, White Owl and a new villain - the dangerous and unhinged Qanan, a man convinced of his own righteousness.And I got inspired!
I've been wanting to do something with my robot girl Taaffea for quite a while now, specifically something that lets her really take advantage of... well, of being a robot.
And this was my chance!
I hope that everyone's enjoyed it! Whether you did or did not, feel free to leave comments below!
I guess I should mention, Qanan is not dead. Probably. Just... horribly maimed.

You're right, she absolutely does! I wonder if she'll decide later that Taaffea must have been an hallucination due to being strangled by Qanan? XD
I'm glad you like it! Once upon a time I had been wanting to commission you to do a comic featuring Taaffea, but right when I wanted to really get down to the planning stages I hit a financial crisis that I am only now finally pulling myself out of! I'll be honest, I was worried that my screw-up back then with talking up the project and then not being able to carry through with it might have left a bit of distaste for the characters involved. I'm pretty relieved that it seems that isn't the case!

Believe me, if anyone understands financial crises taking away from creativity, it's me.
I am going through my own turn with that very thing right now.
I am trying to learn more digital art technicques in order to up my art game and gain more commissions.
BTW, what 3D program are you using right now?

Right now for 3D stuff I'm using DAZ Studio! I also use Hexagon for building any CG props that I need custom. A lot of backgrounds and props (AND HAIR! Hair is so complex! I don't really make hair yet...) that I use are things that I've bought from the Daz store, Renderosity, or even Renderotica. But when building characters, really often I need custom stuff that you just can't get off the shelf.
I've tried using Blender a couple of times, and it is the most un-intuitive, awkward frigging thing. But it makes much cleaner objects than hexagon does, so I've needed it for a couple of specific things. I feel like I could really level up if I could learn to use it properly, but right now, Hexagon is where it's at for me due to how user friendly it is (most of the time).
And, yeah, sounds like we've both had some unfortunate turns with the finances! I believe know how you feel and I'm sorry to hear that you're having a financial crisis right now, that sucks.

Also, I'm really happy that she reminds you of Astro Boy! Astro Boy was a BIG part of my childhood, and was absolutely a direct inspiration, and in some ways a reference, for her design!
