Man I have such a hard time with terragen 2 I liked 1 cause it didn't have to re render everytime you rotated the scene.

I'm not sure yet if the sky is NOT 3D...could "easily" be TG2 (in terms of possible achieved realistic shading with TG2) though it isn't easy at all to get the fractal shapes correct.

Well, I simply don't agree.
It's with both Vue and TG2 possible, maybe a bit more possible with TG2 as it uses more physical based models/algorithms than Vue. It "just" takes a lot of practice and know-how for both Vue and TG2, but I'm sure it IS possible.
