Description
Here we have the Wild Kratts looking up on the world’s dinosaurs.
For 165 million years, the dinosaurs roamed the Earth in countless species. Most famously in the Jurassic.
But it was the Cretaceous Period that the planet saw the biggest, deadliest, and most bizarre dinosaurs that ever lived. Some dinosaurs like the Sauropods lived for over 100 million years and became the biggest land animals ever.
In North America there were duckbill Hadrosaurs like Edmontosaurus, the armored Ankylosaurus, and the horned Triceratops. And they were prey to the most ferocious of hunters as Tyrannosaurus Rex ruled.
South America became a land of giants and home to the biggest of all dinosaurs with Argentinosaurus. As it lived alongside with its all-time rival: Mapusaurus.
Africa was also home to a number of dinosaurs, like Rugops and Carchardontosaurus. And was home to the biggest land predator ever: Spinosaurus. And Paralititan was the biggest African dinosaur ever.
Europe was home to Ampelosaurus and other kinds, and being a series of islands, many were small compared to their mainland cousins. Hateg Island is one of them being home to Magyarosaurus, Zalmoxes, and Paludititan.
Asia was home to Velociraptor, Protoceratops, Therizinosaurus, Shantungosaurus, Tarbosaurus, Gallimimus and Ruyangosaurus.
Australian species include Australovenator, Diamantinasaurus, Muttaburrasaurus, and the recently discovered Australotitan: the biggest Australian dinosaur.
More discoveries still await in Antarctica. As only a few species have been discovered so far.
Roaming on every continent where they were found, dinosaurs were the greatest dynasties in the history of life on Earth. It was only till 65 million years ago when an extraterrestrial cataclysm has brought the end of Planet Dinosaur.🦖 🦕
