This is near Oysterville, Washington looking out onto Willipa Bay during low tide. The Long Beach peninsula is only a couple miles wide making it easy to see both the bay and the ocean depending on which side you are on. The Willipa Bay also makes for a stunning sunrise. On the ocean side towards the North end of the peninsula the sunset and colors can be very spectacular.

Thanks Hmm. That's kind of like the islands around here. From some of them, you can watch the sun both rise and set over water without seeing any land in between. It's an odd feeling. I believe it's the only place on the east coast where you can see the sun set over water.
