Some nice person here on DA ... but I forget who now ... suggested to me that I get theΒ face morph set to go with the Genesis 2 female that's in DAZ Studio ... Tania is my own manip using that.Β Her hair is the Toulouse hair and I borrowed Lilly's Lollipop hair headband and refitted it. Β Her skin is Genesis 2 skin with base color shifted. Β So I guess I can say I made her myself, she's not an out of the box character!Β

Very well done. I urgently need to start with DAZ Studio. I have got it and a lot of stuff, but I still have to finish all the commissions that I have to do in Poser. I made some test renders, and WOW! I can also have both programs running at the same time, and while Poser does a render I can work in Studio

Thank you! I figured the morph sets and some different hairstyles should give me all I need to make lots of characters ... I have had some requests already so I will see how true that is ... and my computer loves DAZ so much it won't let me do much else while DAZ is rendering ... that's why I am slow learning all the light stuff, each render with fancy lights takes so long ... I can see that 3-D needs A LOT more computer than I needed for my 2-D photo manips!

Yes, you need a LOOOOT more cumputer power. Graphic card and processor should be high tech if you wanted to work fast. I have exactly the same problem. While I do the render I work on some textures in a picture editing program. I see the blue circle where the arrow of the mouse shouold be, and it turns and turns and turns... Eventually after some cooking, ironing, drinking, watching TV, and so on it will let me work on the textures. No, not THAT bad, but I have to be really patient. Need a better computer, too.

I feel I now know certain paths through a great big maze ... lighting is still a big issue for me because the instant previews and the proper renders can look very different, and you need so may lights to get a good overall look that good renders are slow ...

Trust me...I am still learning lighting myself. The 4.9 version is much more confusing then the 4.6. It'll be worth it in the end though with a little more practice.Β
