Stephanie saw Karen standing across the ring in the blue corner. In that moment time seemed to slow. The roars of the crowd fell silent until you could hear a pin drop. Due to her robe hood, the American challenger’s face was covered in darkness. But thanks to the ring lights Stephanie was able to see Karen's amber eyes glaring at her out of the shadow of her hood. It was chilling.
“So, there you are,” thought Stephanie. The champion could feel her challenger's intensity from across the ring but she held her smile as she felt her own excitement for battle rise almost uncontrollably. “This girl really thinks she can beat me. I can’t wait to see the look on her face when my fists start to break her to pieces!”

Karen kept her eyes locked on Stephanie. “You're going down Ward,” she thought with new malice. “I’ve fought a lot of women in my career who thought they were hot shit. And I beat every one of them. Except Jill. If Jill was here now she'd love this.” She squeezed her gloves tightly with intense power. “And when that bell rings….. I am going to do everything in my power to knock that smug bitch smirk off Ward's face. I’m going home with that Silver belt around my waist.”

“DING!!! DING!!! DING!!! DING!!!” The audience went quiet as the ring announcer stood in the center of the ring.

“Ladies and gentlemen. The time you've all been waiting for has arrived! Our Main Event of the evening features ten rounds of boxing for the WBC Silver Title in the Super Lightweight division!” The whole arena cheered and clapped. The announcer turned toward the challenger who had slipped out of her robe.

“Fighting out of the blue corner, she has an impressive professional record of 37 wins, 17 losses, 9 draws, and 6 knockouts. She fights out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA and she is current Hard Knocks Champion! Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the challenger!! KAREN…… THE KO KITTEN!!! CAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRLSON!!!!”

The audience cheered and again showed their love for the blonde American who stood proudly wearing a black sports top, black trunks with leopard spotted petals, and shiny black boxing boots with orange colored laces. Her pristine looking brown Paffen Sport boxing gloves gave her kit a retro touch in homage to the history of her sport Karen's body was in peak condition. Her shoulders, neck and legs were muscled and powerful and her abs showed a strong six pack. The KO Kitten looked every inch the trained fighting machine that Kelly had wanted her to become for her first WBC title fight!
