*squeal*Nintendo never really made a wolf pokΓ©mon D:<
We got Mightyena that was cool but that's not a wolf. It's a hyena which doesn't look like a classic hyena at all, since it's based off of a striped hyena.
I admit I unconsciously and unashamedly drew this line's colour from Shinx's line, but I couldn't find best fitting colours rather than the ones I used. I'm actually pretty happy with the whole thing, I also really like their names.
Sauvolf's body looks really well-built, it feels like one could ride it, I made it more MASSIVE than a normal wolf's one on purpose.

First of all. There is no evidence that Mightyena ia Hyena it's original name is Guraena

It is based on a hyena, its Japanese name also comes from the word "hyena", + "growl". Its appearance is that of a striped hyena ([link] ) which not everyone knows about. Its PokΓ©dex entries, that seem to suggest it's based on a wolf, actually apply to hyenas as well, and so does the classification as "Bite PokΓ©mon"... So yeah! Some time has passed since I made this fakemon, but I'm now sure that Mightyena is a hyena, though it's the closest to wolf PokΓ©mon Nintendo has ever gone.

Look it up on Bulbapedia, for Mightyena's name and origin, and on Google for the striped hyena.
But if we want a serious debate, provide me with evidence that what I'm saying is not true. :3

I get what you mean, in fact I really miss it too, but I'm also a fan of new ideas and my favourite generation appears to be Hoenn for this reason ^^ I've been inventing Pokemon since the first generation was out (and I was little), so my style grew together with Nintendo's.
