Description
This is more of a literal take on an actual Dinosaur called Dracorex Hogwartzia "Dragon King of Hogwatz" yes that's what it's actually called! There is some debate whether it's a seperate species in the Pachycephalosaurus family or is just a juvenile Pachy. There are also some features of Ankylosaurus with the armored spike back and clubbed tail.

While this was just fun to draw I also had a purpose behind it. I want to aesthetically make my story Soaring incorporate my passion for Paleontology. Dinosaurs occupy a branch of reptiles known as Archosaur "Great Lizards".
Along with dinosaurs, the Achosaur tree also includes Pterosaurs which are often mistaken for being Dinosaurs, and Crocodilians.
The Dinosaur branch also splits in two itself, Ornithischia "Bird Hipped" and Saurischia "Lizard Hipped". However contrary to how they are named the "Bird Hipped" Dinosaurs are not actually the branch of Dinosaur that are related to Birds.

Ornithischia includes dinosaurs like: Triceratops, Parasaurolophus, Pachycephalosaurus, Stegosaurus, Ankylosaurus, ect... Typically Herbivorous Dinosaurs with armor and spikes

Saurischia includes two big groups: Theropods (Tyrannosaurus Rex, Spinosaurus, Velociraptors) and Sauropods (Giraffatitan, Diplodocus, Argentinosaurus)...

Theropods are the closest in relation to birds, most of them probably were feathery bipedal predators with one notable exception that springs to mind and I just had to mention cause it's wicked. The Therizinosaurus, a giant theropod herbivore that is famous for having the Largest Claws of any known animal on earth!

Sauropods were the largest known land animals to ever walk this earth but not the largest animal in the world, they are still beaten out by the Blue Whale. They are famous for their long necks and a little known fact, they are likely responsible for the evolution of flowers.

If I had to classify my dragons using Dinosaurs as an inspiration then the Tarakona would probably be in the Saurischia branch somewhere between Sauropods and Theropods, the Valkirtani would probably be in the Crocodilian branch, and the Sailwings would be part of the Pterosaur branch. Course this isn't an exact science, these are still magic using dragons we are talking about but I want to populate my world of Soaring with other Dinosaur inspired species in this Dragon World.
