So I’ve been reading a fanfic called Hi Hungry, I’m dad by @kaybdoodles In which a half frozen little kid Sans and papyrus wander into Grillby’s bar one day and Basically Grillby, simply through availability (and because his friends in Snowdin think it’ll be “good for him”) ends up taking them in.
It’s got a great balance of fluff and some angst and honestly this fic got me REALLY invested in Grillby as a character. HE’S A GOOD BOY! HE TRIES VERY HARD! HE’S JUST QUIET!
Anyway I have a lot of feelings about this fic so here’s some art.
This art took way too long though just because I’m working at the same time so it took me longer than usual to finish it, so in the end I kinda rushed it

So basically the second you posted this I got interested and started reading it for myself. I just now got caught up with it and UGGGGHHH I hate how it ended on such a cliffhanger. That last chapter was just so depressing. I've read a few Dadby fics and I have to say, this one has to be the one I like the most; the characters are written so well along with the plot, and the twists in it are simultaneously unnerving and gripping. Mixtures of fluff and angst always hurt me too but I'm always a sucker for them. And oh boy, did this story hurt me. ;-;
On a more serious note, though, I really want to thank you for introducing me to it. It's quickly become one of top favorite Undertale fanfictions. You've made my week, haha. ^^

Lol it's fine. And the last time they updated was in June. They haven't updated since then, so I don't think they update regularly. I think it just depends on when they are able to write the chapter.

Grillby doesn't get enough of the love he deserves, this is perfect. I love the way this looks, the textures are fabulous. Lil' Papy there is the most adorable thing, protect him Grillby, PROTECT HIM.

i mean they arent wrong exactly that fanfics are AUs, just i do notice people seem to call something an "AU" despite not expanding well anything on it. the fact its called alternate UNIVERSE, seems to me if you are creating it, should go deeper than 2 pages aand 1 picture (unless its like a general cooperative thing like all the countless underswap stories, and you just happen to find one story that sadly never continued)
