Description Why are there no stamps on this site for Perfect Blue? This is a crime.

Perfect Blue is an AMAZING movie but not for the faint of heart. ...at all.

It's kinda Black Swan before Black Swan, but more in depth and a lot more intellegent.

Whenever I watch this movie I'm always tempted to skip the rape scene but it's kind of impossible since it's the crux of the entire movie as everything that happens after that moment is BECAUSE of that rape scene.
....but it is probably the hardest thing to watch I've seen in a movie

Anyway, if you're 18 watch this movie. You won't regret it.

There needs to be more animated horror/thriller movies in general. This movie really shows the potential of that genre being touched upon by animation.

I agree. And I mean like real horror/thriller movies. So many anime "horror" movies rely on nothing but blood and gore. Which is gross and upsetting but not exactly scary.

I'll have to watch this. I need something to bring me down from the "We can do it if we just TRY HARDER and BELIEVE IN OURSELVES" high that is 14 seasons of Pokemon.

Give it a watch if you're over 18 yes just be warned it's pretty violent and, as I said, there's a really REALLY intense rape scene that's uncomfortable to watch. if you can handle that then yeah! watch it!

I loved Perfect Blue, it's one of my favorite animated movies. i am a huge fan of Satoshi Kon's work and this one is incredible, it gives me chills each time. And yeeeah, Arronofsky borrowed a looooooooot from this movie, he just doesn't like to admit it.
