This new camera takes some getting used to, but pretty sure I'm getting the hang of it. ^^Obviously had tons of fun taking pictures of Applejack and her new fanon accessory -- so much so that I left little time for anything else.
That means the actual promotional poster won't be ready quite yet until I've finished with the radical redesign.
But for the time being, please enjoy these unedited pictures straight from my camera, with no digital touch-ups done to them (other than resizing the images to fit in the montage)). The green screen is still there albeit with less shadows (thanks to :iconchibibiscuit 's suggestion, plus the other lamp I bought). Hopefully a few of these green screens will be removed to make way for some very interesting special effects.
Till then, please think of this as a glorified preview.

Look at that sexy Applejack and her epic turret~ Ok, she's not sexy, she's wayyyyyy too cute here to be sexy. That hat is so awesome ( >w< ) I didn't know turret could look less threatening if they were fuzzy. Does this accessory shoot out things as well?

Though I agree she's more cute than anything (especially now that I fixed her eyes a little today) -- and yes, that chibi turret looks like it couldn't hurt a fly. >v<
And I'm afraid it doesn't shoot anything, but it DOES SWIVEL!! WOOHOO!!! I thought the swiveling mechanism was going to be hard, but turns out it was the easiest thing in the world...! OvO

Well... admittedly it is a little heavy, so... I guess yeah, she could throw it around like a very expensive club.
But yeah, most of the fun will come from the player's imagination. ^.^

Oh, and those things do look like giant eggs with spider legs... Yeah, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be too hard to do, and once I start making commissions it's possible I might get asked to do one at some point. ^^
Ah, and glad you caught on to my little bit of "rebranding"... so far it seems to be working as I've not heard a single "ZOMG!! NOOOOOO!!! I DON'T WANT TO HIT THEM!!!".

Yep, I wanted to cycle through different fanon sources for each of the Mane 6's accessories. Originally I wanted to give Twi the TF2 sniper rifle... but because that would have left AJ with no other recognizable fanon accessory, and because Mrs. Buzzy seemed like a cuter match for Twi, I ended up giving the honour to our dear cowpony. ^^b
Also was originally going to do a proper sentry gun, but I liked the Mini one better cause it looks more unique (with that awesome beacon light and checkered pattern)!
Too bad for her, the Party Cannon does actually shoot... for real.

I think your cannon must be something miniature that will work, like a mini air cannon I think.
As for the sniper rifle, you can try, it's going to be hard doing it in small scale.

Almost... Pinkie's Party Cannon fires using a spring-loaded popper attached via a hole in the back. It's not quite mechanical, but it could fool anyone (and the effect of confetti coming out of it is really cool/cute).
Definitely don't plan on making one now, but I might get asked in the future to make a TF2 sniper rifle. In that case, I might try a few things to improvise for that small scale. =v=

Some fellows did video tape it for a brony documentary, but now I cant locate them. At this rate I may have to video record my own firing, probably when the Mark II is built. ><

They actually ARE ornamental piΓ±atas, but I gave up trying to explain to people that you don't have to break these. So instead I'll just public rebrand them as "paper plushies", as that offers a much closer interpretation of what these girls are for. ^^
I meant to talk more about that in my official poster release [coming soon]. ^^

As long as there's confusion over what they are, no one's gonna be tempted to take a stick and break 'em, but instead preserve them for life (as you say). ^^
They still have candy inside them, though... but it's accessible from a little hatch in their underbellies.
