Allmate: Finn's allmate takes the form of a golden and white hedgehog by the name of Shire [Shy-er]. He rebukes Finn often, scolding him whenever he does something stupid. In a way, Shire's like his grumpy daddy. He always apologizes to others if he feels that his stupid "son" irritated them in any way and to punish his son, keeps a supply of shed quills that he uses to lovingly stab him. On the bright side, his spikes, although they seem to be sharp and pointy, are about as dangerous and painful as sea urchin spikes. Shire usually forces Finn to call him sensei whenever Finn wants to talk to him about life. He likes riding on Finn's shoulder, just so he could see eye-to-eye with others.
History:
He was such a big a crybaby when he was younger, pissing off his parents whenever he began bawling. His parents wanted him to become a manly guy, so they never really coddled him, although they did the best they could to maintain some sort of relationship with him. He was given his Allmate, a grumpy hedgehog that was programmed to whip him into shape. Finn at first hated Shire because the hedgehog would always stab him or kick him whenever he would be doing something wrong.

But when he entered high school with the intent to become becoming less of a wimp, he relied heavily on Shire to discipline him. Although he was a bit of a loser still, almost actually crying once in class because Shire bit him, he was decently / well-liked. His reactions toward his Allmate seemed really exaggerated to his classmates, leading them to make him out as the class clown. He ended up getting friends because he was so entertaining to them and from that moment on, kind of assumed that sort of personality. The typical nice guy persona.

College wasn't that much of a challenge to him. What was the main hurdle was money. He didn't have a job. He tried to get his friends to set him up or put in a good word for him to their parents, but nobody really took him seriously. He ended up taking a year off of college in order to save up money once he got a job as a host. He's basically just a nice guy people could rent, despite what kind of impression he gives off, working where he is. Finn loves to butter people up and just talk to them about things on their mind while hugging them. So in a way, he's kind of like a service / therapy dog. He doesn't get paid that much, but it's something at least.

It was around this time he met Jayce (about a year or so working), who he affectionately calls Jay sometimes. The two got along decently, though Finn was always nice to people in general. Jayce just turned up on his apartment doorstep one day, asking if he could stay for that night. Although Finn was due to work around that time, he really couldn't say no, not finding it in his heart to, and graciously let him in. The two now live together and split the rent evenly. Finn is very careful around Jayce though, not really speaking much about his job unless asked, usually just trying to be there for his friend and to comfort him. He only has a vague idea of Jayce's troubles, but doesn't feel as if he's entitled to know more.
