I remember the issue she was introduced. I was a Spider-Man annual. I wasn't to happy with the recent treatment of her character in Next Wave, or the fact that they turned Machine Man into Bender and tried to pass it off as being original.

She used the title of Captain Marvel during the Secret Wars era in the 80's. Marvel has to use the Captain Marvel name in something every two years or so to retain the use of it.
