It's funny you say that, because in fact, a good half of those animals vomit so they can make their escape while the predator is busy eating their freshly up-chucked gut stew. That's disgusting.
The sea cucumber has even been known to vomit out its own digestive tract in such a ploy. (It can grow it back.)
