Description
Nothing much to look at is it? Rushey Platt Station has changed a lot since its heyday. Four platforms, station buildings, and for a while, even a pedestrian tunnel. This would have been an important railway junction if things had worked out. Opened in 1883 and closed to passenger traffic in 1905, an early victim of economics and industry politics. Remained open for goods until 1964.
