Description

From the roof of his palace, King David spied lustfully on Bathsheba, Uriah's wife, while she bathed in her courtyard. He ordered to bring her to his palace immediately. There he had sex with her, resulting in a pregnancy. He found out that her husband was Uriah. Cunningly he summoned Uriah from battle to meet him. Being now close to his home he suggested to Uriah to go home and lay down with Bathsheba, his wife.
Uriah declined, claiming that he and his fellow warriors had to abstain from sex, while they were in a holy battle. Thus Uriah repeatedly refused to be uncleaned by having sex with his wife Bathsheba. No trick worked to have him transgressed God's design. That was the last straw, David smartly sent him to his commanding officer Joab with a sealed letter that ordered Joab to put Uriah on the front lines of the battle and have the other soldiers move away from him so that he would be killed by enemy soldiers.

Thus it seemed like the perfect crime. A tricky case for any lawyer to solve. But JeHoVaH was vexed at this low down treacherous deed of an almighty authority bearing his name towards a poor foreign family that came under his loving wings. The picture depicts a most common human experience when an innocent person is sentenced by a lying hypocritical authority and gets away by it. But JeHoVaH God is all seeing.
