Chapter 25
After Q had finished with me he flew to Ziz's help. He helped her up and they both took to the skies. Wih the roof gone, they had the entire sky as thier battle ground. They left the building. "Agni what are we going to do?"
"I don't know," Krav says to me.
"We still have to fight," I say to him. I place my hand in the lava and use it to fly into the air. I land uneasily on the roof top. I look around to see only Q. "Why did you save her, Q?"
"I wanted too plain and simple."
"I think it goes deeper than that. I believe you have deeper feeling than what you want anubis to know. I believe that you truly care for her. Even love her."
"You can see through me. I do love her even past her flaws and problems. I love her even with ths that is the true meaning of love in my opinion. You have to understand Damien you have your love and your future child."
"I do Quezalcoatl. But I must stop her so I can stop Anubis."
"Well I guess that you can't be talked out of doing this I must stop you the old fashion way."
Q strikes at me with his fists. I block the attack with my blades. I try to attack from the side but he blocks me witht he other fist. Q begins to grow out his feathers from his forearms and shines from the coils. he then starts to grow large obsision blades from his wrists. he then attacked me. he flies at me and attacks. He quickly stikes at me. me and him both use fancy footwork to evade and block eachother's attacks . He slashed at me with his obsidion cutting my side. the i slash his right cheek. I stopped striking and blew breathe at him. He flapped his wings and dispanded the flames. I blew another wave to cover my tracks as I moved to the side of him. I then launched my attack. I blast a ring of fire onto Q's chest then fire another fire breathe to his back. Then I jump above him and rain down fire. I land in from to f him out of brethe. "Have I won?"
Throught the smoke I hear, "Is that it?"
"What?"
"Is that all you have to show me? What a shame I expected more from the man who gave me this scar." The smoke clears and he is standing with only minor scartches. He and I clashed again. He grabbed my neck and threw me into the air. Then he struck me the all he had with a high knee to my stomach. I fly farther into the air. then I felt a bolt of electricty flow through my body Ziz had just struck me. I fall rapidly into the ground. I stood up stumbeling. Q then said. "Let me finish this." The anaocondas around his wrist fall to the ground. The head enter his hands. He grips them and they morph into a large whips with large obsidian shards shooting out.
Q slammed the whips down at me. I moved fast enough to move out of the way of the whip. He swiped the whip at me. I shot the whip. He flew above me and slammed the whips down at me smashing me into the roof top. he slams the whip down. I slide out of the way of the attack. he jum over him. He swings the whip above head hitting my side when I came down.
Q threw the whip at me. I stepped out of the way. He threw the other and I stepped out of the way. He had his chest open from these attacks. I started to run up and strike him again. When I got close he smirked. A trap. He said lowly,"Perforador de Carne." A large spike fries from his chest. I jump back. He grabbed me with his whip by the neck. He holds me up in the sky and slashes my chest with the other whip. He drops me.
Q flies over and stands above me. "How do you feel on the brink of death as my love was?" He picks me up by the neck and begin to squeeze. Holding me over the opening in the roof he comments, "The strength of an anacanoda." I begin to black out. He starts to chuckle at me. Then I hear a whistle. I open my eyes to see his eye had been shot out. He drops me through the hole. I look back to see Krash standing the with his recurve bow and arrow.
I caught myself in the air with some fireballs. Then I slow myslef with a breathe of fire. I run to Krash. "What are you doing here?"
"Saving your ass apparently."
"Thanks but thes guys aren't like before they are stronger. they could k-" I am thrown away by Q. He then slams his fist into Krash's chest. Krash flies into the wall behind him. He coughs up blood. Q then grab him by his neck and starts to shake him voilently. He then grabs his arm and breaks it into two. I slam into him with a bull rush then I fire a ring of fire into his chest. It blast out of his back like before. Then I blast another into his chest. Then another into his gut. He uses the Perforador at me and I jump back. He slowly flies back to the roof.
I rush over to krash. he holds his arm. I kneel down to him. "Krash, we have to set the bone. Its going to hurt."
"Hurry up." I place my hand on his arm and crack the bone back in place. Krash sceams in pain.
"I'm going after him," I say to him.
"What? You can't he's too strong," Krash says.
"I have this Krash." I pick up his bow. I walk over to a pool of lava. I drop the bow into it. "Agni, use this to make a new weapon."
"I shall, Damien," he says. The lava boils until a new weapon immerged. The golden handle arose I took it up and the weapon's handle. the bow then foremed from the magma. Agni's morphed the magma in it a solid shape. It cooled toward the bottom and turned solid. Half way up it turned firey. the string formed from blue flame. I pull the string back and it creates an arrow. The arrow was long with a matchete like blade and a long spike exstending farther than the arrow head. The arrow was flight and I could fire it quickly. I let go and it flowed through the air. "This weapon is unaffected by gravity and hits what you have in your eyesight."
"Sounds like a great weapon."
"Now this does replace your fireball abilty. it has two different modes one is called arco recurvo de fuego translated to fire recurve. The second is called the arco recurvo de granito translatted to granite recurve. I'll explain thier proporties when you use then now we need to get back to the fight."
I use the same way to get back to the roof. I stood ther and looked around for Q or Ziz. We had entered some mist. I look around and draw the string back. I called out, "What's with the mist, Q?" I see his shadow in the mist. i fire an arrow in to the shadow. The shadow falls and I race over. I look around for the body but all I hear is hissing. I look down to see snakes wrapped around my feet I set them on fire and they disappear. I look around and see another shadow. i fire another arrow at him. The I see another shadow and fire another arrow. The shadow falls. Then another appears several feet away I fire another arrow.
The shadow falls then I hear Q chuckle. "You seam to be having some trouble with my clones. Luckily for you my clones only can materialize with vapor."
"Thanks for the tip, Q." I breathe a wave of fire into the mist and blow it away. He is nowhere to be found. Then I hear, "Perfordaor de carne." I look up and dash away from the spike that was coming from his chest. He was above me. I slide on the ground and fire an arrow at him. He slaps the arrow away and then attacks with his whips. He swipes the whip at me. I fire and arrow at the whip than at him. He is too slow for this one and it hit his shoulder. Then I fire another but is swatted away. Then race around him and start to fire the arrows at his wings. "Damien its time to show you what the other mode of weapon can do. Give the command harden and then fire an arrow."
"Harden." The lava flow of the bow dies and it becomes granite. I fire a shot quickly. The shot lands in his wing and Q's wing visably become heavier with flecks of stone coming off of it. He falls to a knee. "The effect of the granite recurve turns what ever the arrow hits takes the wieght of the target and mutlplies it by the weight of several hundred pounds of granite."
"Amazing," I say.
"It is but it does cause strain on your body. This makes it harder to fire each arrow. If you over do it you could die. At this point you are good for five shots per three days. Now down to four." Q tries to move but he could he wills himself up but he come barely move. Flight was out of the question. I fire another arrow in his other wing nad bring him to the ground. I dash over attempting to strike him down but I am stopped. Ziz was back.
She picked me up and brought me intot he clouds. She then threw me into the air. then she brought down sveral lightning bolts onto my body. I switch back to my flame arrows with the command ignite. I fire an arrow at Ziz she flies out of the way. As I fall I fire another arrow at her. I blast at the roof to soften my landing. I looked up and saw nothing. I scanned the airs until I saw the slow flap of a wing. I fire an arrow. It lands in her wing. I fire an arrow into the sky. She comes out of the cloud cover for second and then flies into the cover again. I fire an arrow into her direction. I blast away at her with my arrows but to no effect. She comes out of her cover and I fire at her.
She comes to ground level and I keep firing. She fires more lightning at me before rushing at me with her claws. I throw my bow away and block with my blades. I push her back. I recreate my bow and fire more arrows at me. I switch my mode and then try to fire a granite arrow at her. The arrow was flying true until it was caught. I look at who caught the arrow and see Q. I was wondering how he was up then I saw his wings almost torn off.they lay several feet away. I stare in awe at him as he breaks my granite arrow.
"You will not kill this girl, Damien,' he says to me.
He runs at me and we strike eachother in the face with punches. We then punch again and land a punch in eachother. I kick him in the chest and he steps back far enough for me to breathe a wave of fire at him. He didn't have his wings so he took the attack head on. He falls to his knee then stands back up. he laughs it off. I create another granite arrow this one was heavier than the last two. Ziz stood behind him still. she was in shock that he had given up his wings to save her. I fire the arrow. Q moves his head and the arrow moves past him. "h looks at me and says you have missed."
I grin and I point behind him. he looks behind him and sees she was on the ground. "No. No. NO!"
I stand there and just look as I see Q screaming like a madman. His tears falling out the one eye he had. Agni began to talk to me, "Her heart was pieced with a granite arrow her heart will turn to stone. Its a slow painful death. I feel sorry for her. Now her soul give me a second and I'll have it."
I walk up to Q. "Q I'm sorry."
"Leave you have a month," he says glummly
"A month for what," I ask.
"A month until I find you and kill you. Be ready Damien."
"Q, I must ask where are my friends," I ask.
"After your fight they were sent to Leviathian. The abyss is his home."
"Thank you," I say to him.
"Do not thank me. I am only telling you this so you can be with your love unlike me."
I walk through the hole but I do hang on. I allow my eyes to stay above the opening to see Q and his love's final moments. "Ziz," his tears fall more. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you." She reaches up and wipes his tears away.
"Don't worry about it. I understand. You made a mistake plain and simple."
"Its not that simple," he snaps.
"Don't worry about it my friend."
"I always wanted to tell you this but-"
"I love you too."
"I-I don't know how to react. Damn that Grigori." He says slamming his hand into the ground. "I wish I still had my wings so I could kill him now."
"Have mine," she says.
"What," Q asks.
"Take my wing use my power to kill him. He could barely beat the two of us. With my power, you could win your next fight."
"I'll do it," he says acceptingly.
"Come to me," she says. He comes close to her and they kiss. She begins to fade away. A blue flame erupted and moves to his back. The flame enters his body and turns into then two small black wings sprout. He walks over to his torn wings and then they start to be absorbed in to his body. The black wings start to grow more until they are twice the size of his last wings. Then another a pair spouts from over and under his new wings. the wings on top glow green while the ones on the bottom glowed red. Over his spine grew a large hawk shaped face with ancient eyes. On his shoulders grew two hawk heads. They let out a cry for blood. "The dios del sol negros has awakened, Anubis."
"God of the black sun," I say to myself before dropping down to the ground.
