This is very beautifully shot! I have been trying so hard to get a similar shot at our Red Rock Canyon TOPS area, but so far, haven't been successful. The rock formations are there, as are the trees, but in what I have accomplished so far, either the light is too harsh, or too flat, and I haven't found a way to correct it yet, not in a way that makes me happy, at least. What I mean is, I know it is not easy to get a shot like this, and you did very well at it. I will take this as inspiration to keep trying!

Thanks!! It was a great place to get photos of the red Navajo sandstone. Part of the trick that works for me is to get a well illuminated section and include enough sky. The contrast makes the exposures come out great!
