She is approx 12" tall, made out of black and purple minkys. Her eyes, cutie marks, details on her wings and horn are machine embroidered.
I totally remade my filly pattern - her body, head, wings, eye shape. I hope that you are going to like her!

I said this for my critique of Princess Twilight and I'll repeat this right off the bat: I intend to share my thoughts on Nyx here with nothing but absolute honesty, disregarding that I was the one who commissioned for her in the first place. This was something I kept myself completely patient for because I hung onto expectations of full satisfaction and joy for what I asked for. I received her the day prior but opened from the box she was mailed in on my birthday a few days ago, and how did I react?
I almost cried.
For those unaware, Nyx is the main character, or main OC character I should say, of the story Past Sins by Pen Stroke, the most well known version is set between Seasons 2 and 3 of Friendship is Magic. I fell in love with the story, and it was this character and the story itself that made me call myself a brony for the first time. I knew I wanted something to add to my MLP collection other than something drawn or painted, and the plushy option was a hard decision to settle on. It wasn't until seeing the works of MLPT-fan that I found someone who was capable in bringing Nyx into a worthy 3D form.
When I made the commission, I tried to give the most specific details and best example drawings to work with, and MLPT-fan listened and made sure to honor every single one to achieve what you see here. Between what she was asked and working with a new design for her filly models, every detail was examined and applied to the plush, with the harmless cost of only a few progress updates when time was available for her to do so.
The way the body is shaped and designed is gorgeous to say it mildly. The artist did a great job at scaling down from a full-sized mare to a good-sized filly when you compare her with Twilight all the way down to the curves and shapes. Where the unicorn horn is very well done, the filly wings are adorable and appropriately depict the wing design we see on the show. But on the head stand out her turquoise dragon-shaped eyes, a trademark attribute of the character along with being an alicorn. Seeing those eyes for the first time made mine open as far open as they could stretch, because they just capture your sight like that and it's incredible. Her cutie mark is embroidered just as nicely as her eyes with its unique design and helps add an extra flare of color on the overall royal black body.
I must confess that the mane and tail were probably the biggest worries I had for the ending results, and that's mainly because with Nyx being a fandom OC, depicting how her hair is shaped solely relies on what drawings the fandom itself has provided for her. What you see here, though, is nothing but mind-blowingly dead on from most pictures you'd find of her. The tail's shape is wonderfully crafted and her mane sits marvelously on her head, and both their color goes so well with everything on the plush as its brighter, but still fairly dark, tone contrasts with the solid black body just the right amount. Originally, the mane was parted in the opposite direction, but the artist was so unbelievably kind as to show me how it looks now, and what you see now was the winning sight to behold.
As I said, I maintained all the patience possible to wait for this, but it is nothing compared to what MLPT-fan showed me in return. Every concern I had was discussed, every question I gave was answered, and every single thing I had to say in the process of creation was taken seriously and respectively, all of which handled truly professionally. (suck it, Harshwhinney lol) What you see in her work is dedication and commitment in providing all customers with what they are looking for, and what you get puts your expectations to shame.
But there are two things that bothered me from the beginning that are both factious and meaningless at the same time. One is about wanting a Twilight and Nyx pair of plushies at an appropriated scale measurement between a mare and a filly from the show, but the options available to me were limited based on affordability, making this observation mean nothing. For those looking for similar expectations, she provides a journal with multiple size options and their respective prices. Another thing was, like the Twilight plush, Nyx felt a lot stiffer than I originally anticipated, but seeing I never had a real genuine plush like this before I only expected her to be like a stuffed animal. Again, it's a complaint that's so far less from being a complaint that it was just an unexpected discovery.
To see this final product, to have it in my ownership after all of the artist's hard work, and to be surprised by it on my birthday no less, is all more than I could have ever asked for a commissioned work like this. Because of how important Past Sins is to me, I'm not ashamed to say that seeing her brought and still brings tears to my eyes, especially when having her side to side with Twilight. The pictures you see her bring the real view no justice whatsoever; it's having the real thing right there in front of you to know the real talent that goes into it and the worth of investing in the first place.
Thank you so much, MLPT-fan, for what you did for Nyx. She is a work of art, and a true testament to the fandom for me, but you have the same amount of worth to the fandom yourself for creating such quality pieces of art. Thank you for your wonderful patience with me, and thank you to blowing my mind far beyond predictability with this. It was truly one of the best birthdays I've every had to get both Nyx and Twilight.
For anyone looking to make a commission or would like to see if it's possible, I highly recommend this artist to create for you what you hope to find in only the best of the brony fandom's vast collective of plush makers. If there's opportunity on the horizon, I wish you the best in getting amazing artwork such as this for yourself. MLPT-fan is second to none, and I know I intend to commission her again when the right time comes, and hopefully be able to pay back the kindness received during the last few months.

I'd love to describe my feelings in a better way than by simple happiness and satisfaction, but with my limited English knowledge, I can't express it appropriate...
