With eyes barely open, I nearly ran downstairs and outside to get this shot (or shots, I should say). I am never up at sunrise, nor do I ever jump out of bed so fast, but it’s been five years since I’ve seen sunrise over the lake and it made getting up at 6 totally worth it.

6 AM - about an hour before setting out to hike.
