I would also like to see a version of this cropped just right around his face, so that the branches become an abstraction! Or with a really narrow DOF so that the branches are really blurred. But the square cropping here works really well. Nice!

This has beautiful tonal quality, dynamic range, and light. It is a delight to see this kind of balance. So often I see blowout and heavy burnout in a photo like this, but you have given good dynamic range and light, while maintaing detail in highlights. Even the burnout is reasonable, with very good shadow detail. On top of all of that, you have very fine detail too. I should have given this one the favorite...decisions, decisions.
