EDIT: Ironic how I have to write this, even after mentioning that I wanted this to just be a peaceful doodle of two friends, but what did I expect from this fandom? You can ship whoever you want. If you ship Clerith, go ahead. If you ship Cloti, you're welcome here, too. Hell, if you ship Tifa and Aerith together, that's fine! But please, respect the source material, and other people's likings. I personally ship Cloti. I love Aerith, but I still ship Cloti. Please, don't try to argue otherwise with me, because I wouldn't do that to you. Don't try to shame other people for what they ship. And don't bend the words of what's canon, to fit your own ship. The goal in FFVII was to make a love triangle. They wanted to show how love can be a driving force, but also cause some issues. Every love triangle has an end, including this one. But, no one should make you abide, or ignore the canon ending, if you don't want to. (I'm not going to specifically refer to the canon couple, as...well, I'll have to write another one of these.) If your comment was hidden, it's because I don't want my comment section to become a war.
  Before I move on, as well. Final Fantasy, as a whole, is about friendship. It's about relying on, trusting in, and fighting for your friends. Cloud and Tifa have been close friends, since they were little. Cloud and Aerith have been close friends since Aerith found him in her curch. Tifa and Aerith have been close friends since they began their journey. The three of them shared an incredible bond, even when they were indecisive, it's what makes their friendship so impressive. They toughed it out for each other, because they cared about each other. Their relationships never slid into anything unhealthy. Please, respect the source material, and respect each other.

    Romances are all well and good, but let's not forget canon friendship! My ideal party for (most) of FFVII is Tifa, Aerith, and Cloud. They balance each other out so well, I couldn't help but put them together in my party as soon as we left Midgar.
  Aerith and Tifa's pose in this is based on the weird half-fistbump thingy that Zack and Cloud did when Cloud was like fifteen. I never really got what to call that, but I figured if our well-known male partnership could do it, then why not these two?
  Also, the shipping wars make me kind of sad for areas of this fandom. Tifa and Aerith were close friends even though both of them had feelings for Cloud at one point. However, Tifa's feelings ultimately ruled out. I don't think Aerith would hold a grudge against Tifa for moving in with Cloud. It just wouldn't be like her.
