Description
Zecora makes all kinds of potions, this time she wanted to make one that was very magical and could cure many diseases.And for the potion, she needs this rare plant that only grows deep in the mountains. So she embarked on her adventure, to find the rare plant.
A little while ago, I made a quick sketch for NATG. Now that the NATG is over, I got around to finishing it.
It's quite interesting to compare the finished drawing to the early sketch.

It's so satisfying to see a simple sketch turn into something so complex...
I love the color variation in the shadows and highlights, shade feels cold, highlights warm. The texture of the grass is also amazing, I can say you spent a lot of time on that.
I can also see a very faint sun flare and birds to add some detail to the cloudless sky, though I would add a few clouds myself, as it always makes the image more interesting, unless you were going for a less distracting skyline, then I understand.
Another thing that needs a little more work, in my opinion, are the trees, especially the one in the foreground, the grass behind it looks more detailed although it's further away.

OHMYGOSH THE FINISHED VERSION OF THAT PIECE, WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW I ADORE THE DETAIL PUT INTO HERE & REALLY BROUGHT LOTS OF LIFE TO IT! It was a nice touch to add Zecora in here, she's super great & it makes a wonderful journey too. I love the realistic approach in a way that you went for the background in here as to make it look really natural as to sooth you, I also love how you were able to create this super detailed background & blend Zecora in there too along in the setting & have her within the setting & not pasted on there, it's really sweet with how you've done that!!! The background overall is just really eye-catching & the amount of effort put into it amazing!! The gorgeous mountains that have the sunlight reflecting back in a way that really puts the warmth in all this, the shadows & shading that cover the mountains & rivers in a way that really has everything come together very well! Just the natural plant life in here is great, the textures of the leaves on the trees & so the similar approach to the grass are the details that make this come to life. The use of color & the stylistic choices along with your style for doing this is great! Zecora in here ahhh, I always love ponies mixed in with beautiful scenery, it's a quite soothing combination. Great job with this, it's always wonderful seeing a concept returned too & finished!!

Oh, my Frieza... This background... I just can't get enough of this. It's beautiful, rich and somewhat nostalgic. Especially the sky and the mountains. It's just nature herself, at her finest
