Jadis of Charn is the main antagonist in The Magician's Nephew , and possibly The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe , in C.S. Lewis 's series, The Chronicles of Narnia .
As the Queen of Charn , she destroyed all life on the planet, through the magic of the Deplorable Word ; although, she and her sister had pledged to not use magic, during their war, for the throne.
In Narnia, she ruled from the north, causing an endless winter , with no Christmas .
