No worries, the Korrasami ship is still sailing strong. Β  Good work on the art, I'd like to see them do a stand alone movie without the restrictions on what can and cannot be put in.

Mako and yeah, I agree. Both of their relationships with Mako were kinda toxic tbh. Both parties too immature to be in a relationship at the time and sort of jumped into. I really respect Korrasmi because it was a bond that grew over time with great cherishment, trust, and love. (but thats just my opinion)

It's not just your opinion, that's a fact, confirmed by the creators.
Because they are obviously very slowly from a friends (Book 1 and 2), then close friends (Book 3), and intimate friends (final episode of the Book 3 and the entire Book 4) become a couple at the very end (final episode of the Book 4). The development is visible through the seasons, and anyone who denies it, is plain ignorant who doesn't want to accept the possibility that two women from a friends can become a couple.

tbh ive never had a problem with this pair, I think Ive even saved some of their deviations in my faves before but I was kind of upset to find out they were canon. I was too afraid to watch the last episode to find out that it was true, and actually still havent gotten around to it. Why was I so upset? Still have no clue, maybe deep down Im a bit homophobic and couldnt stand the thought that one of my favorite characters be in a homosexual relationip. But I had to think hard about what this means, this is a big deal to some beautiful girl who's probably still struggling with her sexuality. When she sees this she may see a little bit of herself, she has 2 characters that represent her and do a good job at it. I needed to get over my own selfish feelings about who Korra and Asami as well as others should and shouldnt be with and just accept a good thing for what it is. #KorrAsami4ever

its because it was out of nowhere and it didn't made any sense.

When Korra talks with Asami she sounds like a person talking to her friend, not to someone that she even likes.

It was a good thing for gay people, but it was terrible for the show

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

atlien03 In reply to Hichcoot [2015-01-15 21:09:38 +0000 UTC]

I cant agree with that, remember that this is a children's show they're probably not gonna have either character makeout or come out of the blue and say "Hey, Im a lesbian!" but it certaintly was not out of the blue like Varrick and Juli. Β Even if you look at their relationship as strictly platonic, it is very believable for two characters to develop romantic feelings for each other over the time. She spent 3 years away from everyone in the group and eventually stopped writing...that is everyone except for Asami. It's important to pay attention to he little details like how emtional Asami got when they met back up for the first time, how the two are constantly blushing around each other, how Korra basically asked her on a date. It's not something you dont see coming unlike other mess, when Korra and Mako got together it felt way more forced because of Mako not really hagving feelings for korra until like the last 2 or 3 episodes of season 1. Korra and Asami at least had the bulk of season 4 to develop.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hichcoot In reply to atlien03 [2015-01-16 03:22:43 +0000 UTC]

Yeah but those little details can be seeing as a friendship developing.

When Korra was around Mako she acted WAAAY different than when she talked with anyone else, both when they were dating and when they just met, just broke up, etc. ( didn't like mako kind of cheated on Asami with Korra?? How can she like her after that?? )

But when she talks with Asami? she sounds just like when she is talking with anyone else, they wouldn't even hug, or act with affection to each other in any way, not even when they were alone.

There was no chemistry there, even with the hints, not to mention that they barely spend time on screen during season 3 andΒ  4.

Not even when Asami met with her dad were those two together, nor when Korra had to hace Saheer or find Toph, nothing that will let us know that they care for each other more than friends

And there was not constant blushing, it happened once.

atlien03 In reply to Hichcoot [2015-01-18 20:30:30 +0000 UTC]

Yes but when it comes down to it it becomes nothing more than nitpicking and denial of other people's interpretation. Platonic friends dont do a lot of blushing aroundn each other.Β

Yes, but how did Mako act? Originally he hardly paid her an ounce of attention. He didnt even seem all that interested up until the last few episodes of season 1 as I mentioned Β before. Lol Mako cheated on the both of them with each other, so either way. That's kind of what drew them together, if you notice at the start of season 3 they bonded over teasing Mako for his indecisive actions when it came to his relationships with them. I honestly felt bad for Mako at the time, I thought he and Asami were a really good match together.

This is according to you, other people may see it differently and the writers add in little "ship teases" intentionally to keep people interested. Didnt hug? Have we not been watching the same show? All of them hug all the time. I wasnt aware that physical contact wasa the only indicator of character's feelings.

I think there was plenty of chemistry. I just think the idea of two girls in a romantic relationship in a children's cartoon is so unconventional people dont want to acknowledge it. It's also kind of hard to squeeze in dates, series of romantic moments when the two of them are off trying to save the world constantly. Doesnt mean they didnt have any moments at all though.

Korra was in the southpole when Asami visted her father, and when she left she had her own issues to work through a journey she felt she had to take on her own. So how was she even supposed to find out about her father? Now youre being a little ridiculous. You're just naming instances in which they couldn't possibly be around. Korra told Mako she didnt even want him that and it was something she had to do ALONE. When she went to visit toph that was BEFORE she came back to Republic city and reunited with Asami and Mako for the first time in THREE years. So why are you try to use this as excuses for why they cant like each other, that's ludicrous.

Why any blushing at all if their relationship was strictly platonic?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hichcoot In reply to atlien03 [2015-01-19 04:47:20 +0000 UTC]

one time, she blushes once.

Say what you will,Β  but that relationship felt forced as hell.

Aang and Katara feels perfect, like the obvious ending for the series, like finally, peace and love. Something that they would have enjoyed if there was no War.

We knew that it was coming, those two ending together.

Korra and Asami was forced, no real ON SCREEN relationship, barely scenes of they bonding and the ones that you see could be seeing as their friendship just growing.

There was no chemistry between them, Asami was not important for the plot in any moment, she wasn't even part of Team Avatar for real, she was barely there the whole series.

Most of what Asami does is being betrayed by her father, mako, korra, verrick, who knows who the hell else.Β  She had no other purpose for the series than that.

The only reason that it happened was to appeal to a demographic, to be progressive, etc. Not because it was the obvious ending, not because everything was leading up to those ending together, nothing!

Korrsami sucks balls basically, it was poorly done.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

atlien03 In reply to Hichcoot [2015-01-19 19:59:54 +0000 UTC]

Again, why have her blush at all if their relationship is strictly platonic? You seem to be in denial.

Aang Katara was forced as heck, that had like one maybe two moments in FOUR seasons. The rest was just Aang crushing on her and screaming at her "why aren't we together" Aang treated her like property not like he was really in love, Katara hardly seemed to even have feelings for them outside of in the very first episode when Sokka called him her "boyfriend" and in Cave of Two lovers when they tried kissing. I can go on and on about how selfish Aang was when it came to her and how boring the two were.

You're only seeing this from your very skewed pov, because you refuse to see it any other way. Their relationship was no more forced than the relationship she had with Mako. They had plenty of chemistry, they were best friends. Like I said their relationship formed and got stronger due to them being the only two girls in the group and both being Mako's exes. When Korra left she was the only one Korra kept contact with. Plenty of chemistry that you're just completely denying for the sake of your own dislike for the pair.

So now you're not only going to insult a pairing just because you dont agree with it, you're going to character bash because things didnt go your way? Asami played a pivitol roll in the series. If it wasnt for her Mako would've never solved Β the case and caught Varrick. She was just as important to LOK as Sokka was in ATLA but dont here me though.Β

Yea, keep telling yourself that. Not like there are any fans of the pairing right? People who actually followed the pair closely and could even explain to you better than I could. I'm being completely objective here, I am not a fan of Korrasami either. But the very fact that you say something as rude and disrespectful as "Korrasami sucks balls" right underneathe a picture someone took the time and energy to put together shows your bias. You're in denial, get over it.

Hichcoot In reply to atlien03 [2015-01-21 02:00:43 +0000 UTC]

No, is just that you are so wrong about Aang and Katara that its not worth reading the rest.Β  Aang and Katara ending together was regarded as the perfect ending for the series by most fans.

If you think otherwise is because you belong to a REALLY small minority.

This is not a 50/50 conversation like with Man of Steel, most fans agree on that ending

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

atlien03 In reply to Hichcoot [2015-01-21 21:53:46 +0000 UTC]

Again this is YOUR opinion. You know, it is possible for people to be in the minority and still have very valid reasons. Wasn't pythagorus Β part of a very small minority that didnt believe the world was flat? How'd that turn out again? Most fans jumped on that ship in the first episode because it's a total cliche. Does that mean it wasn't forced or awkward by the end? No. Look at How I Met Your Mother.

Had the pair in mind from the beginning of the series and stuck to it in the end, but the end was shit. The two characters had plenty of chemistry, but in the end it didn't mean anything more than the main character's selfish feelings getting to have his way. Aang completely ambushed Katara and expected her to just drop everything and be with her. They didn't even have a conversation about how they were feeling in the end even though before Aang disappeared the last thing Katara said about it was she wasn't sure how she was feeling. Then suddenly they kiss at the end? When did Katara even have the time to sort out her feelings? You're being very hypocritical.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hichcoot In reply to atlien03 [2015-01-22 04:38:10 +0000 UTC]

I'm not saying that you can't, but that in that case you are in the reaaaaally small minority.

And again, their relationship was born along their journey. They don't have to stop and talk about their feelings, just by all the stuff that they been facing together, that alone makes us believe how they feel about each other.

Unlike Korra and Asami that spended less time together as seasons went on

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

atlien03 In reply to Hichcoot [2015-01-22 19:34:50 +0000 UTC]

And what does being in a small minority matter? That doesn't amount to right or wrong, so who cares about what number of people like what ship? You're in a very small minority too, you're aware of that right?

Funny how you can say "their relationship was born along their journey" as if that makes Kataang the best ship and not at all forced, yet when it comes to Korrasami who's relationship formed the same way you keep screaming at how much it's forced. You are a hypocrite.

Yet these characters actually spent time trying to be around each other, Korra even offered for the two of them to spend time together quote: "Just the two of us." When did Aang ask Katara? When did Aang even consider Katara's feelings? He bum rushed her with a kiss and had the nerve to ask why they weren't together while they were in the middle of a war that had been going on for 100 years. He expected her to just want to be with him, like she's just obligated to have feelings for him. That's not how you treat someone you love. But you're not hearin that are you?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hichcoot In reply to atlien03 [2015-01-22 21:20:35 +0000 UTC]

that your opinion is mostly wrong.

And no, the relationship between Korra and Asami was not developed in the same way because THEY DON'T SPEND SCREENTIME TOGETHER and most of the time when they do they just talk about something plot related.
