Description Antalya, Antalya Province, Mediterranean Region, Turkey - also called Kesik Minare Cami (Broken Minaret Mosque) was built in II AD as a Roman temple. In V AD old Roman temple was converted into Church of the Virgin Mary that was severely damaged during Arab raids in VII c. Reconstructed in IX c. After establishing of Seljuk Sultanate of Rum in XIII c.  it was converted into mosque. Around that time minaret was added After capturing Antalya by Kingdom of Cyprus in XIV c. for short period it was re-consecrated a church. With the Ottoman conquest of Asia Minor it became the mosque again. Damaged by fire in the XIX c. Restoration works started in the second half of the XX c. and in 2021 Sehzade Korkut Mosque was, finally, re-opened.
