gosh I actually cried some during this scene when I first saw it I couldnt help it this has to be my favourite scene in the the Hobbit so far, its just oh my god alsdkgh I love how Thorin's first word/out-loud-thought was " the halfling", I love how he admits he was wrong and then hugs Bilboand seemingly looks down at him like "mmmm", and then how its only after the eagles distract him that he looks past Bilbo and sees the mountain ALL IN ALL IT WAS JUST PERFECT AND I FOR ONCE IN A BLUE MOON LET THE TEARS FLOW DURING A MOVIE AT THE CINEMA ALSDKGADSKGH
so yeah guess who is suffering art block again and has rewatched this scene over and over again because of its perfection
