Yeah, I like Grandpa Mathers. He's grown on me since I created him. I only expected him to be a one-joke storyline, but I ended up creating a lot more of a personality for him in my mind since then.

I don't know, I actually kind of like the new NBC version. Although, the only real character that shines is the chick that plays Starbuck on the new BSG, but she's the bad guy. I SHOULDN'T BE ROOTING FOR THE BAD GUY.

In all seriousness, it's really well drawn. You've mastered silhouettes by now..and the close up of Sam is pretty slick. Her bigger-than-usual teeth and mouth pronounce her Equestrian roots. XD Her eyes look a bit different than usual..or maybe you don't normally draw eyelashes so low. Whatever you did differently, it looks great!

I didn't mean for her mouth to look that big as part of her heritage. 
I'm glad you like it so much. I thought the background on the last panel came out pretty well. And since it was closer than normal, I did put more effort into her eyelashes than I normally would for a character whose eyes are wide open. I almost thought I'd over done it, so I'm glad you approve.
