I like how this is just one part of the car, cause it makes it instantly apparent just how much careful work has gone into expressing shape and smoothness, especially the bit under the Pennzoil text, where the curve of the car's body (do cars have bodies?!) can be seen.

Indeed they do have bodies and that's what they're called.
Yeah, I really liked how the curves came out due to the warp of the lettering.

and at some points on these, I'd even work through a magnifying glass!

I miss the old days of CART before the stupid IRL split. You actually saw coverage of the races on TV, and the Indy 500 wasn't such a joke, and Champ Cars wasn't going broke as a result of such events.
Great watercolor and idea. Emerson Fittipaldi was a helluva driver. And there's nothing like the old Penske team red/white Marlboro color scheme.
