I have made a folder in my favs to honor our beloved cats. I remembered you saying that you had a cat that passed that looked like Oopy. Indeed he did! Is it okay if I honor your kitty too? I have a file especially for them! Your cat was beautiful too! Thanks a lot!

Aww, we had a cat my daughter nicknamed Henry who looked like this. He wasn't ours but he would visit us from time to time. Sadly, he got run over. We miss his visits, he was a sweet kitty. I had several cats like this growing up. Smokey was my fave. So sorry for your loss. RIP Shep, Yuri, Henry, and Smokey.

I lost one cat back in June, she went in her litter box and never came out, she must have been close to 19 years old.
I found one of my outside strays, that I take care of, a few weeks ago at his food bowl stone cold.
We also have another cat who is not well, she's like 17 years old or so and has either colon cancer or something else that makes her
have not control of her poo and she has lot of blood in it. She's about 1/2 the size she was this time last years.
Our vet said just to keep her happy and gave us a steroid to keep her on. She still has some quality of life so the vet said we were doing
a good thing by not putting her to sleep. The vet told us it would have to be done one of these days. Not looking forward to that day at all.

The biggest problem with the old girl is the smell, poor kitty smells bad
We had to stop giving her run of the house, she now lives in a big ferret house, she leaves puddles every where.

He's had a history of seizures (about once every month or two)
But he was never on any meds for those because the vet didn't want to give him meds
for seizures unless they occurred at least once a week or more.
Last weekend, he stopped eating, was having difficulties passing stools, and started getting very lethargic.
Took him to the vet on the 11th and they found a lot wrong with him.
He was dehydrated so they gave him fluids. He may have had some kind of disease that was undetectable when
he was young, that may have built up over time. He'd never show any signs of any kind of illness until last weekend.
After the vet trip, he just started going downhill even quicker - not eating, not drinking at all, and getting more lethargic.
He just kept getting worse, and had another seizure which really took a lot out of him.
So we took in him to the vet on Saturday, said our goodbyes, and had him euthanized.

That's really sad.... That's the trouble with bringing home a pet; someday you have to go through the pain of them dying.

No names yet!. Most likely will be in keeping with our tradition of giving one a Russian name and one an American name.
The tradition sorta happened by accident. Long story. LOL!
