Description Ed... 72 years young and still kicking ass!
Owns a case of harmonicas containing a harp in every key.
He's part of our Friday night jamming crew.
He recently had a custom built/restored vintage bullet mike made. (not used in this photo)
What is a bullet mike you may ask?
You can get a pretty good idea about them here...
badassharmonica.com/bullet-mic…
Ed kicks ass with or without the bullet.
We jam in the place where I shot these… froggy went a courtin'  … no more courtin' for Froggy  … imp
It was a funny thing when I saw him the night I shot this.
We both knew that we wouldn't be at the regular Friday night jam because we had things to do and couldn't make it.
Turned out he was playing at the very show I went to see instead of going to the Friday night jam!
I was just standing there watching one of the bands when all of a sudden, there he was standing right next to me.
He didn't realize I was there until I tapped him on the shoulder!
There were so many things about that night that were strange and wonderful.
I saw so may people, old friends and musicians that I hadn't seen in 20 years or more.
There was a lot of talking about old times going on that night!

That is so cool!  My mom played harmonica.  My sister has the ones she had.  We are a pretty musical family and all of us have some kind of instrument.  I have a guitar and an auto harp.  Sis has mom's harmonicas, mother of pearl inlaid Accordion from back in the 1950's, 12 string guitar, and banjo.  My daughter has a 6 string acoustical guitar, a Hawaiian Steel Guitar that my grandparents had when I was a little girl.  I have no idea how old it is, but I was born in 51 and they had it before then from what I was told.

Sounds like you had an amazing time that night!  Memories are wonderful!

You should all get together and jam! (You probably have, though, I'm sure!)
My Great-Uncle played banjo.

We did for years and years!  Mom departed this life in 2013 but the rest of us are around.  We all sing, including that little ditty, "Froggy Went A Courtin' ".  I know you have heard of that one!

Those memories are some of my happiest.

I don't know if anybody recorded this show. I know we don't record on Fridays.

He really knows what he's doing! I wish he'd brought the bullet mike to this show. He just used what was on hand.
