Nice one Joey! I love those mosque-like meshes - Gotta get me some of those to play with ...

Wow, the detail is fantastic! This would look amazing with a reflective metal material in there - though I reckon the number of reflections in there would melt any lesser machine's processor...

What did you model this in?

Thanks, I did one in Gold thats amazing but the highly refective surfaces loose the detail from shadowing. I thought this was a nice compromise from metal to concrete/stone. The original 3DS cathedral model was converted in meshlab [link] and imported into Incendia [link] and "fractalized" for this structure. This was a small sized render test 2048X2048 it took about 5 hrs. I will make some tweaks and render larger and longer to clean up some small details but overall I was very Impressed

Hmm, yes I can see how that'd happen... I agree, it is a nice compromise! I'm glad you have a machine that can handle this sort of thing... mine would have a hissy fit if asked to even contemplate rendering this, I'm sure!

Hmmm any system can render this stuff it just takes time and patience... I let it render while I'm sleeping

Yes, I try and do that... the problem being I usually end up getting no sleep anyway, because I'm always spotting something I want to fix
