Description
Fortunus is from the story with Atero and Ardea, but he is not a werewolf, he is just a plain old timber wolf. He follows Ardea around because he knows good leadership when he sees it and most SMART wolves, like him, would seek a she-wolf like Ardea to lead them.
So when she is pushed out of the pack they both live in, he goes with her. He would do anything to serve her as a good beta wolf. He is very curious and good natured, but he hates Atero.

Fortunus is named for the Latin word for Lucky; when he was only an adolescent male his curiosity led him into a fight with a mountain cat (cougar) and he was struck in the eye, which caused him to be partially blind. The lucky part of the incident was that the mountain cat missed his nose, which he only has one of; the wolf was then very lucky that Ardea was near enough to hear his call for help. Ardea chased off the cat and Fortunus was left with a blind eye and a cool new name. ^^
