This character has been adopted by *darkstalkerlati .Description:
Although it resembles both, this creature is neither bird nor dinosaur, but it is still related. It is the remarkable result of a species of bird that started to evolve "backwards", returning to a quadrupedal stance and losing the ability to fly. As muscle mass increased, the creature became more and more front heavy, to a point where it could no longer walk on two legs. It may still run on it's hind legs for a short distance, only to fall forward on it's front legs again as the speed decreases. Remains of the wing structure are still visible as the two toes have grown out of the wing bones and the thumb spike has barely changed, only extended. The feathery coat is rougher and shorter overall, almost resembling sturdy short hairs, although some feathering has remained for communication purposes and possibly territorial displays.

It was fun watching you design this little guy on LiveStream, more so that you were taking suggestions from the audience. It's always refreshing to see an artist interact with their fan base in such a way.

You'd probably have more luck with something a little more elegant looking, or even cute. This fella isn't really cute, nor elegant nor particularly interesting. Since adoptions go off appearance only, you might want to step them up a little.

I refuse to draw cute, elegant or possibly furry creatures as adoptables because that's what people want to see. I'm drawing these things for my own enjoyment mostly, and if I can sell them for even just a little bit, I'm happy enough.
I suppose I just rely on the fact that some people don't necessarily need a creature to look "KAWAII" to be interested in them. The next set has a creature that's probably a little more elegant than this one, but what's visually appealing from an objective point of view, really? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, no?

Well then your trying to work a market while being too arrogant to actually design to the markets tastes.
An adoptable in most cases is a re-coloured cut-out, so yes the appearance is everything. Dont pull that one on me, either wise up and look at a few sucessful sets of adoptables and learn from them, or stop spamming everyone with this image screaming about how its their last chance to adopt it. If you have to re-post and re-post, and only have people bid over eachother by 50p, then its rather obvious no one wants it.

And in the meanwhile the bids have gone up to $30. The moment I lowered the price people started bidding immediately, so I learned that I simply put the starting price too high which is a mistake I won't make again. Secondly you're not the first to mention the spamming of the picture so I won't do that again either, sorry to have bothered you in that regard.
I'm not being arrogant at all. Truth is I'm not making these things purely to appeal to the public and make money, I'm making these things to have something I can be creative with inbetween projects that I must do with character designs I have no freedom with. To make up for the time lost making them however it would be fun to see if I can make a little money out of them, which it seems I can.
