Hawthorne is another eeeeevil werewolf beastie, a Black Spiral Dancer, and a throwback from my roleplaying days of yore.Work in progress... ink on watercolor paper. He'll be painted eventually. I was aiming for texturing rather than rendering... repetition is cathartic.

Ooohhhh. Love the double paws . . . are the second set made of spurs of bone? They look like they've been freshly extruded (or are dripping with blood) . . . VERY spiffy

Lookit that face! The paw/claw combination is just one of those fantastic details that I squeal at once I finally notice. Too awesome a job, I say. I always felt the black spriral dancers were the coolest.

The stunted paws (which I am assuming are it's metis flaw) are a nice disturbing detail that took me a few seconds to notice.
